The tournament begins in Auckland on September 9, 2011 when New Zealand hosts Tonga in pool A. 13 venues across New Zealand will host the 48 games, with Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington hosting the playoff matches.

The final is scheduled to take place on Sunday 23 October 2011, at Eden Park, Auckland.
